I was inspired by MN to shave my fanjo and now I have some horrible looking rash/spotty things - help!

Well that's it really, have to say I rather like it 'clean shaven' and dh thinks it's christmas. I've noticed where the hair grows it's all spotty - ingrown hairs? how do I stop it becoming a problem? Doesn't look great either tbh.

pmsl at Twiglett.

Get it waxed next time - shaving is bad, bad, bad.

lisad123 · 06/05/2008 22:34

LOL not mixed with cream, some hair reoval creams come with an extra skin cream to use after, to stop the red spots. You lot are so rude

Twiglett · 06/05/2008 22:36

and once again I'm stuck with the image of how flexible the labia are in that they're designed to stretch for childbirth

and then you add waxing .. the process of yanking away slightly cooled hot wax

am I the only one who gets a mental image of the labia following the wax up and up and up until TWA-A-A-ANNNG

so waxing and big labs do not mix, is that what we are saying here.

Twiglett · 06/05/2008 22:51

it would be extremely cruel to wax a labrador .. what are you? some kind of animal pervert?

snorts

gigglewitch · 06/05/2008 23:00

pmsl at this lot, esp front bumber
And what is all the talk of waxing and then umm, coming mixed with cream?

strawberries, anyone?

piratecat · 06/05/2008 23:07

so its easier to wax small labs then, but just as cruel

pha'narrrrrrrr!

lilacclaire · 06/05/2008 23:54

Poor you.

Serves you right for listening to some people behind computer screens egging you on the shave your fanjo tho

Get some exfoliating gloves (about 99p from places like semi-chem) and use them every day, followed by a body lotion on the afflicted area

MinkyBorage · 07/05/2008 14:20

This Sorry.

retrodolly · 07/05/2008 18:10

Geez, you lot...

Seriously, though, here's advice from when I was single (now married and a mom, I can't be bothered TBH ).

The trick is not to scrape the skin. Trim first, then apply talc, then use this:
www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/ASIN/B00065GP9E

It's gentle on the skin, intended just for this.

zippitippitoes · 07/05/2008 18:14

lol i just got round to agreeing that bf could do this on me next time we meet and now u have put me off again

scanner · 07/05/2008 20:07

Should you shave in the same direction that the hair grows in or the opposite?
