I read that you should buy new ones every year.

TheArmadillo · 06/05/2008 11:47

12 months.

I.e. if it's from last summer then get new one. They lose protection (factor goes down) with age.

TartanKnickers · 06/05/2008 11:48

I think it's usually a year after opening. Is there a wee symbol on the bottle rather than a date? Like and open pot with 6 months or 12 months beside it?

funnypeculiar · 06/05/2008 11:48

damn

TheArmadillo · 06/05/2008 11:48

Saying that if it's something like 60+ then I would use it on me - knowing that I only need around 30, but I wouldn't use it on ds or dp (extremely fair and burns at the mere hint of sun).

tartan knickers- thank you so much! I had always wondered what those symbols meant- they are on shampoo, cleanser, everything these days!
I thought it was something to do with the materials the bottles were made out of, you know- for recycling purposes!
Will nose at everything in the bathroom now!
