my dd2 11 months has a v high temp i dont know how high as dd1 has had the thermometer and lost it, a very fast heartbeat, has slept pretty much all day has eaten vitually nothing and isnt really drinking as much as she usually does either, not even her fave fruit juice.

she also has a cough and is slighty wheezey but has already been diagnosed with asthma and has inhalers

she seems alert and happy when awake and is looking at ppl and babbling but as i said she has slept most of the day she usually only has one nap a day

Both calpol and nurofen will reduce tempreture and can be usd in conjunction ( but obviously follow the dosage guidance on the bottle).

must be something going round, my dd has exactly the same thing, took her to a and e last nite and they told me to just keep an eye on her temp, not nice for them though, hopefully will get better soon

Hope she gets better soon. Remember that a fever is the body's way of fixing up, it makes an inhospitable environment for some bugs and increases the rate that white blood cells (for infection etc) multiply and move, so her body is woking hard to get better. Ad sometimes it's better to not get rid of the fever because it's doing a job.

Def not replacing docs advice, and high fever is clearly bad!
