EyeEyeglasses coating peeling off again

This is my second pair of glasses from specsavers when a coating seems to be peeling off in less than 18 months on the same spot of the left eye. I always pay for all the coatings in offer as my vision is very poor and i work with computers and drive at night. I only clean my glasses with the soft cloth that comes in and my breath (i never use any chemicals on it).
Changing glasses for me is a hugh issue as i am very small (think 10-12 year old) so all women glasses are too big for me and children's ones too big. Thinking that the quality of specsavers might be to blame, i went to an independent optician. After doing the test, He only had one pair of glasses that fit me with leopard prints- not my type. He told me to go somewhere else, no possibility for him to order/look for something else. Vision express is the same. Specsavers usually have a few models my size- i have been ordering the same model since 2020 as the other 2 are not my type.
Do coating reduces the lifespan of glasses so much? is it only specsavers?

Where do petite people buy their glasses?

I've been wearing glasses for nearly 40 years and have coated lenses. When the coating has bubbled or peeled it's almost always hairspray. I try really hard now to take my glasses off and put them far away from me on the rare occasions I spray my hair.

i never use hairspray, i dont even own any. I have used dry shampoo twice though.

This is a problem I've had with the coating at the bottom of my Specsavers' lenses.

I think it is because I have a small nose so my specs sit on my cheeks allowing oils from my skin/makeup to transfer to the lens.

In a moment of inspiration I recently bought a makeup fixing spray (Pixi) and I've gone from cleaning my specs hourly to doing it once or twice a day.

I'm hoping this will stop the coating breaking down but regardless, I'm enjoying having lenses that aren't constantly smeary.

I think my glasses coatings are affected by the steam when I take food out of the oven. I’d love to hear if anyone has had any luck with removing a damaged coating entirely?

No advice on petite frames sorry, but my coating has also been coming off - never had it happen to me before, then 6 months ago I noticed what I initially thought was a scratch, but now it has become obvious its the coating going. I cannot for the life of me narrow down what's caused it either - i never wear my glasses when I use hairspray, and it's all over the front of my lenses so I'm not sure how it could be makeup - it's also worse on one side than the other! I don't touch the glass ever... I'm at a loss. Apparently they can't be re-coated because I have thinned lenses or something, so it means forking out for brand new lenses!

If it's the lenses that are the issue can you have the same frames reglazed elsewhere?

Well, it depends... not all coatings are the same... just like nail polish, paint, etc. They have the affordable, mid, and premium products so just because you added anti-reflective coating to your lenses doesn't mean its a good quality product. Online retailers USE CHEAP quality products and contract with labs that run on quantity and NOT quality.
Let me just put it this way, you get what you pay for them. Your eyes...vision... and if you want to improve the quality of your life... a pair of sturdy, high quality glasses is an investment!

I work at an eye clinic and have learned so much about this business. Whats your prescription? Do you know the size of your current frames?

Most likely, the place you bought your glasses from used a really cheap polymer, anti-reflective coating... the lens itself might be made of cheap materials, then cut and treated with low grade coatings... that scratch easily, peels, and worsens when exposed to low/high temperatures or comes in contact with surfaces, chemicals, etc.
