cranial osteopathy - does it really work?

My 4 month old ds has reflux. Meds were working for a while but he seems to have relapsed over the last few days (seems to be in real distress again). We took him to see a cranial osteopath today. It's hard to see how it might work (he just screamed and threw up through the whole session). Everyone seems to swear by them and there are lots of positive stories on the net. Should we carry on or is it a waste of time and money? There doesn't seem to be much evidence for it.

I'm a real advocate of craniel and non-craniel osteopathy but have never heard it used as a treatment for reflux. However I'm sure it would help generally with the strain the constant puking would have on his system IYSWIM

Ds was a cs baby, and had bad colic and cranial helped. It does take a few sessions.

My DS had awfull reflux and colic we had about 6 sessions and saw an improvement, he used to sleep so well after a session, I still dont know exactly what they did but they calmed him (and was sick through the session too) but was great for a few days after each one. It was definately when he went on solids though was the major improvement.

dd3 had acid reflux (undiagnosed for 5 months) I was ready to abandon here by the time she finally got gaviscon! I understand that many babies need to have their meds increased as they get older?

Thanks - will keep taking him and keep my fingers crossed. Will also see if he needs his meds increased.
