Incomplete poo ( evacuation)

Since last week I have some issues with my poo.
we were at my In Laws for Xmas and for some reason I always lately suffer some constipation there, probably in my head but yes, I don’t go for toilet there much..
Anyway with the lots of eating food and veg, it got ok after we got back on Friday but on Saturday I started a course of Steroids ( Prednisolone 40mg and Amoxicillin 500 for my chest.
Since this I have this feeling I need a tiny poo even after I just been. I leave the toilet and I can feel I need to go again but it’s only small pellets so this can go the whole day..
Now I worry it’s something more sinister ( I’m 51) and I had some gut/ poo issues lately like mucous etc..
Would this be possibly the side effect of the medicine I’m taking?
I had meds these before but I can’t recall any similar issues like this before.

Sounds like piles

@52for2025 oh I do have them too but 2 small internal and these don’t bother me really much.. This is just like a constipation as only small hard bits come out but I can feel the need again even I just been..

Have you tried a squatty potty or at least raising you feet when on the loo? Large tins, bricks, stools (no pun intended) can all help raise your feet on the loo and straighten the sphincter.
You have likely eaten less fibre and more meat/rich foods over the festive season and drunk less water- maybe?
If your diet has remained similar to normal and your bowel habits have changed- then you need to get it checked.

I'm really really not intentionally trying to cause panic or melodrama, but in actual fact this can be a symptom of bowel cancer I'm very sorry.

Obviously it could just be nothing, but what you have described does come up with bowel cancer..... Just get yourself check out.

Have a good read of the ERIC website, it’s got a lot of information about constipation, stool charts, clearing out afterwards etc.

If you’re pooing pellets you’re still constipated.

It could be anything from constipation, haemorrhoids, diverticular disease, a rectocele or bowel cancer
