Pompholyx?

I have these little dots along the side of my hand, kind of under the skin. They are barely visible, you can see 3 on the picture but there are around 12 in total in a sort of P shape.

Has anyone has something like this? Could it be pompholyx, though I can see the blisters are meant to be fluid filled?

Pompholyx?

That’s very similar to how mine started. Little bumps, mine don’t really have fluid either but once I started scratching they spread and have come become full blown rashes all over my body. It’s very sore.

I've had a few of these looking things on my hands every so often since I was young, never been any trouble (and not really obviously fluid filled) - apart from one summer when it spread into full blown pompholyx covering my hands, so so painful, and yes many popped... Nasty. So I'd say it could be. But hopefully it's the type that disappears and causes you no pain!

Looks like it to me.Hopefully it doesn’t progress beyond that

It could be the start of it? Is it itchy? I get this on my feet and it's so painful.

UselessCookAnonymous · 01/01/2025 23:31

Oh no, I didn't realise it could be painful! Fingers crossed it won't develop too much.

Not itchy at all at the moment. I have also had a viral-type rash all over my stomach for a few days (not itchy either), what is going on with my skin these days!

I had this on my hands. Supposed to self resolve so I didn’t go to gp for 18 months, got immediate referral to dermatology clinic. But before my appointment came up, went on holiday to Italy for five days. It vanished. Since then I’ve taken Vit d every day, no recurrence.

Weirdly when mine developed I had low vitamin D, think my level on blood test was only 15. But it never totally went away and randomly flares up.

Oh this is interesting, 2 of you agree it might be vitamin D related. I’ll nip to the chemist and get some first thing.

I recommend aveeno hand cream to relieve pompholyx itching
