OH, MY, GOD,

talk about kids sending you grey, mine are doing it very very well it seems!!!

DS2 (my 5yo who tried to 'fly' off his wardrobe yesterday), has just decided that puting my decorative glass pebbles into his mouth, and then swollowing them, is a VERY GOOD THING......

he then panicked tho as he could still 'feel it', but I have given him and drink and biscuit and he is slightly calmer.......

BUT

this is correct isn;t it....I mean, it is smooth and round and altho slightly bigger than a marble, it isn;t going to do any damage is it.....(or is it????[scared])

he has bowel issues which is what is worrying me I guess.....on regular senna for chronic constipation so I am concerned about that impact IYGWIM.

agghhhhhhh.....they never let you relax do they!!!!!

Oh, and the reason he did it.....he needed dental treatment and stuff painting on his teeth which they had to then shine a blue light over to 'set' it....so needed not to eat for a couple of hours. he was hungry, and altho I was at that moment making him food, he decided that glass pebbles were a good thing to try!!!!

I am ok not to run to A&E aren;t I???

can you not get a taxi?

ViolentFemme · 01/05/2008 16:26

Let us know how is goes.

Intrigued as ds (10 months) is currently nicknamed goat-boy due to propensity to eat anything (paper, cardboard, fluff, etc).

I reckon we'll have a glass pebble incident in a few years time...

Sparkler · 01/05/2008 16:26

Hi Psycho - Hope DS will be ok.

ViolentFemme · 01/05/2008 16:26

And tissues. He loves tissues.

Psychomum5 · 01/05/2008 16:27

blu....with 5 kiddies to fit in, a taxi is gonna be as long as I need a huge one.....am waiting for someone to come and sit with the kiddies anyhow!!!!

taxi is a plan if DH is stuck in traffic tho!!!

ds is right now investigating my make-up and rubbing his chest, but bright pink too, so am thinking that at this moment he is ok(ish).

pace pace

Oh gawd, you spend enough time in hospital as it is!! Hope J is ok, let us know x

Blu · 01/05/2008 16:30

oh, gawd, yes - logistics of carting all kids with you....

JodieG1 · 01/05/2008 16:47

Being able to drink is a good sign. They got dd to have a glass of water when it happened to her and it shows that it wasn't blocking the throat or at least not too much.

Flame · 01/05/2008 18:03

Just had a text... tis in his belly

ViolentFemme · 01/05/2008 19:33

In his belly - is that a good thing?!

Flame · 01/05/2008 19:34

Tis not stuck in his pipes or anything, so will come out naturally.

Twinkly poo

ViolentFemme · 01/05/2008 19:36

When he hears a "clink" in the lavvie, then he'll know it has passed...

bossybritches · 01/05/2008 19:40

I'd give the little blighter extra senna just to make sure he doesn't have to strain.....if he has to dash to the loo maybe he'll remember what goes in has to come out

Psychomum5 · 01/05/2008 20:04

hello......here for a proper update.

he is fine.....he does however have a bruised esophogus (sp?...wahhhh)!!

he is to watched closely for the next few days to ensure there is no blockage. as he has 'bowel dismobility disorder' there is a ever so slightly higher risk for something occuring......his bowel is three times the size it should be in places and stretched like a balloon so more places for it to drop into and cause an issue......but 90% certian that all will be fine and he will have 'twinkly poo' .

it turns out that the 'pebble' is a blue iridescent one so shuld, in theory, be easily spottable.....we will see.

I am to up his meds to double for the next few days to ensure speedy passge, and he will hopefully be fine for school by next tuesday.

ho hum.....kids.

thanks all for your help and support.....MN wins thro again!!!!

((psycho now on a very large glass of wine.....she clearly needs another excuse for alcohol!))

missorinoco · 01/05/2008 20:08

glad it has turned out ok
lots of lentils for those poos

Psychomum5 · 01/05/2008 20:17

well...he reckons on pizza and icecream right now.

I am on other things!!!

he will get this pebble out of him!!!

OP posts:
flamingtoaster · 02/05/2008 10:58

Glad he's OK - good luck with the pebble recovery!

Psychomum5 · 02/05/2008 11:03

he is right now playing basket ball in the garden, enjoying his 'forced' day off (as if he needs forcing....he usually needs forcing TO school )

he also keeps telling me he feels sick, and is tracking his pebble around his body....tis in his ribs ATM!!!

OP posts:
Nbg · 02/05/2008 11:10

Dead mice just aren't enough fun anymore

I'm sure he'll be fine and the envy of his siblings when he produces twinkly poo

Psychomum5 · 02/05/2008 11:19

ah NBG....dead mice....Pah

see....dead mice....we have been there, done that, they are dead and boring (obviously), got the te-shirt, now on 'twinkly poo'.....

flame here muttering about "at least he didn't decide to eat the mouse!!!"

OP posts:
Nbg · 02/05/2008 11:33

bork at the thought of eating a dead mouse.

Would have been crunchy.
