Doea anyone have a cure? Any magic ointment out there? Ever winter I seem to get them and whilst they aren't painful like some people's, they're so incredibly itchy!

My DD has suffered with chilblains for many years - she finds Arnica tablets help. You need to take them regularly.

I suffer really badly from there. The best thing I was found to work is sudacreme.

Dc1 had herendous trouble with infected chilblains turned out had Raynauds phenomenon, is now on nifedipine and hasn't had a problem in 4 years. Was only 10 when it started and we tried lots of topical treatments (steroid creams mainly which helped but didn't clear up) from the gp before the nifedipine was prescribed.

I've had them every year since I was 14. The bastardy things are so painful.

I'm 53, I wear two pairs of socks and walking boots at home. Also, two pairs of socks in bed.

Still get them, though. I kind of ride them out for weeks until my toes fall off. Not literally, but all the dead parts.

Oh and I always have the same four toes with it.
