Has anyone ever had these or know how they tend to be removed / healed, please?

I have these - found on colonoscopy. Very common as you get older. They can't be removed or healed but they often sit there causing no trouble. Occasionally can get infected. The only treatment to prevent this is a high fibre diet

Thank you so much. DH has had these found by a scanner of his abdomen. He has terrible digestive pain almost every day and trouble going to the toilet and for over 18 months he’s had anal bleeding. Approximately one every two months he is seriously ill for 3 to 5 days with diarrhea, nausea, cramps, fever, sometimes vomiting too.
He barely eats (he is underweight).

If the diverticulose were removed, would he feel better?

I was told, after being diagnosed with diverticulitis after a bowel infection, that when infected or playing up, to stick to a 'white diet'.

What do you mean OP by saying if they were removed, they're little pockets or pouches, I dont think you can remove them although not clear on that, I wasnt give any information at all really

My father had this . Occasionally they get infected and cause pain and he would be on antibiotics. Also advised to avoid roughage on those occasions . I am surprised your DH hasn't been given some dietary guidelines.

In very severe diverticular infections I think portions of the bowel can be removed but this is a major op and obviously would need to be recommended by a consultant.
