I have recently had facial surgery (multiple surgeries actually)and since my most recent surgery I have had a weird sensation in one of my legs. Kind of numbness and feels like it’s lost circulation to it. It feels almost that I don’t have control over it. It’s causing me to move around quite slowly but I can walk on it ok and move my foot around fine. It’s less worse when I move around, when I sit down or lie down it’s awful. I’ve seen about 10 doctors to ask about it, no one has come up with anything. I would feel better if I had an idea of what it was. So far Doctor Google has suggested potentially vitamin B12 deficiency or nerve damage (which I don’t know if could happen in facial surgery!) any ideas?

Were you under anaesthesia during facial surgery? How soon after the surgery did the symptoms start?
my thought would be that this is lower back related and you were in a position (while aneathetised or shortly after) which annoyed the nerve. Is it getting better with time?

Could it be sciatica? I had a terribly bad back after a long operation, just from being flat on my back for so long, and being moved around. Nothing to do with the actual operation itself! Could you try a physio and explain what’s happened?

@TheDotMatriX Great minds thinking alike there!

Thank you @TheDotMatriX and @TimeAndTideAndButteredEggsWaitForNoMan Yes I was under anaesthetic for about 8 hours all together. I never thought it could be back related but yes that does make sense. It started the morning after the surgery. I was on morphine on the day of surgery and then it started when I woke up the next morning. It hasn’t got better at all, it’s stayed the same since it started.

Then I think a physio appointment should be the very next thing you try. Hope you get some relief soon!

what kinda facial surgery did you have? Nerve damage is a possibility

Tumour removal and then developed blood clots in the face, so the following surgeries were to remove the clots.
