Top of foot pain

I feel like I'm aging so quickly this year.

I'm having intermittent pain on the top of my foot (where say the mid section of trainer laces would sit).

No change in usual footwear etc.

Pain feels like a hot sensation for a few seconds. Sometimes have arch pain too but but that's a long-standing issue so not sure that's related.

I wish I could advise you but I suffer from this too .
Like you it's where my laces are and I've been wearing the same shoes before with no problem.
Mine also feels like my bones need to click back into place .
It's bloody painful.
Hopefully someone will be along soo with words of wisdom and a miracle cure.

I had a metatarsal fracture that started like this. The pain gradually got worse over a few weeks until I could no longer weight bear and then I went to hospital.

Tenosynovitis. Mine started as intermittent then worsened and was incredibly painful. Needed a course of physio to get rid. I'd see a physio now before it gets worse if I were you

I have that, and it's arthritis.

I had this for a few moments and then tripped over my trainers and I felt a bone move. Pain instantly disappeared.

SwedishEdith · 20/11/2024 23:45

Do you have high arches?

ScottBakula · 20/11/2024 23:48

@DrCoconut , I don't think I have done anything to cause a fracture so hopefully it's not that.

@XiCi did you manage to get physio on the NHS? I needed it on my clavicle and elbow a few years ago. It cost me a fortune.

@sueelleker I am hoping it's not arthritis but that does run ( well hobble) in my family but tends to affect hips and wrist more.

This is what if feel like I need , I guess physio would be safer than tripping up over my cat .

Do you have high arches?

Thanks @SwedishEdith

No, the opposite. My feet are virtually flat. I do wear arch support insoles. This runs in my family.
