Who wants to start a winter arc ?

I will keep it brief. I would like to start this a New year resolution type thing before the New year.
Main priorities to stop binge eating at night and stop procrastinating.
I'm ok with food until after dinner and then I start on the crap. Anyone else want to join me ?
I've managed 1 day without eating rubbish.
Just post what you would like to change and see if we can encourage each other and keep it up !

Hi, OP. I'm doing similar! Day three now, for me. Just trying to not eat for the sake of it after dinner. I'm drinking a lot of tea, instead!

Hi there
Well done ! I am day 2 now. Haven't eaten anything really sweet. Someone at work told me it takes 21 days to break a habit so can hopefully get that far. Will check in tomorrow and see if anyone else has joined us !

Stop binge eating when stressed. Get to bed at a decent hour. I get over-anxious since my husband died - I've got into really bad habits.

Get back to exercising 4 times a week. (I'm currently down to two, following a hysteroscopy, biopsy and Mirena fitting - for HRT. I'm guessing the extra progesterone doesn't really agree with me, given my mood, but I've to keep on this dosage until April.)

Get rid of everything in your house, car, office drawer. If there is no junk, you can't binge on junk.

Hi there wearyoldwumman. Sounds like you've been through a rough time. I think the binge eating when stressed is definetly a factor !
Qwertasdfg. I think you are right about removing the junk just haven't done it yet.
I had this Tiny tea cake at work last night but tbh it was too sugary. I suppose I will have to go back to day 1 but I'm not too disappointed as it wasn't a binge.

Thank you, @Ilovetheseventies I made myself do a spot of gardening today: according to Gardeners' World, it's okay to prune climbing roses, so I did that. There's no snow here and not cut them too low, in order to account for possible dieback. Also dealt with some sycamore seedlings and hauled up some ivy.

My garden's still a mess, but I feel better for having got out into the fresh air. Shall be heading off to my exercise class later this evening.

I cooked a batch of mince a couple of days ago and froze some of it. Used some of it as the base for bolognese today - had it with some gluten free pasta.

Might not sound like a lot, but I've not been cooking for myself since my husband died, so this is a start.

That's the only way that I can manage - if it's readily to hand, I'll eat it. Ergo, I just have to avoid buying it.
