Hi I'm wondering if someone can help me, had my bloods done and they show as 'abnormal' but googled the results and they show as normal? Docs have contacted me for another reason but not this one? Can someone who has thyroid issues please help?

That is strange, the TSH shown is within the normal range. Did they test anything else thyroid related. T4? Antibodies?

No, literally just 'TSH Serum', had abnormal vit D results also, tried to search the results via chat GPT and they weren't much help!

For context, I had glandular fever back in June and since then I have developed symptoms such as hair loss, fatigue, weight gain (2 stone put on this year and I'm making a conscious effort to eat less).

We have to ring our GP to book a call to discuss results with a wait time of 8 weeks for a telephone appointment so I'm stuck trying to Google my results from the NHS app!

Given those results I would request a thyroid antibody test. It’s totally possible to have a positive antibody test and yet have a result in the TSH range of normal.

I had symptoms for years, low iron, low ferritin, low vit D, fatigue, hair loss, tummy upsets etc etc and yet kept having abnormal bloods but TSH results considered in the range of normal. With what constitutes as normal does not necessarily mean being without symptoms.

It took 5 plus years, X-rays, Colonoscopy x 2, countless bloods, a late pregnancy loss until I eventually sobbed to a doctor one day how damn awful I felt before an simple blood TPO antibodies test was done and even when that test was positive I then had to do more bloods and spend time as sub clinical and wait until my TSH was abnormal before receiving treatment and even now I am still under medicated.

I would ask your doctor for a full thyroid panel which such include the antibodies test and a hormone panel also.
