I've been losing weight for the last two years I've lost more than half my body weight without trying.
I've had a colonospy, endoscopy 18 months ago after a positive fit test only showed diverticulitis.
Chest ct waiting for results.
I suffer with horrific comstipation dispite taking laxatives. I feel so weak now even compared with 6 months ago.
I do have RA , addisons , copd.
I get a lot of leg pain in shin an mri showed bone marrow odema which was put down to probable caused by the RA
I just had a letter to see a gastroenterologist but looking on nhs app it says medical oncology.
My appointment isn't till mid December so not urgent.
Is this normal ?
Many thanks for reading.

Blimey, you're dealing with a lot!

I have no idea re the oncologist, but I thought I'd reply and give you a bump - and a virtual fist-bump!

Hopefully the oncologist is just belt and braces, to confirm there's no malignancy there and make sure nothing is being missed?

I’d call the number on the appt and ask to speak to someone as you were expecting a gastro appt and not oncology.

Thank you for replies.
My letter says gastro but on nhs app it says medical oncology so that's why I was confused .
