DH did in a moment of madness a few years ago and says, 'It's a bit painful when they slip the pipe in, you feel weird when it's going on, but you feel great afterwards'
He could see what they were siphoning off because the pipe was see-thru. This made the experience even better. He didn't think to weigh himself on either side though, being a bloke.

Less embarrassing than childbirth/smear testing. I went to the Hale clinic in Regent's Park.
The woman doing it said I should have been detoxing for 3 weeks before i did it (which I hadn't) so I didn't lose much weight. I'd been really looking forward to a good peer at what came out but it was all out of sight (boo!)
It wasn't uncomfy, all a bit of a let down really.

hi, don't want to put a downer on this, but actually saw a report on this yesterday that suggests that a colonic can also flush out the good bacteria that your gut needs to function properly. So according to the report, even though you might have short term benefits of feeling great and lighter it's probably not a good idea to have it done too often.

I myself don't have an opinion on it except for that I hate enemas so definitely a colonic is not for me... also have low bp so would just faint which is rather unpleasent
