Hi all.
We visited the dentist this morning & my DD 6.5 has been referred to the orthodontist due to only having her lower 2 adult teeth.
He didn’t take an X-ray but had a quick feel & said he couldn’t feel any adult teeth on their way for the top middle two teeth.
Does anyone have any experience of this and should I be concerned (I am now)
I personally thought 6.5 was still quite young.

Many thanks

These charts are very helpful with rough ages of when things should happen

Hello. Dental nurse here.
No dentist I have worked with has ever felt for adult teeth..
6.5 and having two adult teeth is normal. Some start loosing their baby teeth at around 4/5 but mainly around 5 is when they start to become wobbly. The orthodontist will look at her paperwork and probably pull this face 🤨.
You'd usually expect to see the adult teeth (front and lower central incisors) between 7 and 8. All kids are different though.
