Sciatica?

I’m just going to bullet point some symptoms in order of when they started and see if anyone knows what could be going on:

This is all on my left side:

  • need to crack my big toe
  • numb big toe
  • tingly/numb foot
  • itch down the underneath arch of foot (same place every time - in a straight line down the center)

i’ve had those symptoms for a good while now. I’ve had blood tests and nerve conduction studies done and all came back ok with nothing wrong.

they offered me an mri scan on my back but i declined (im scared what it might reveal - i know that is silly 😔 and wish i had taken them up on it now)

I pulled my back when I was 30 (im now 39) so every now and then, if i dont keep it strong, it does pull.

more recently:

  • back feels niggley like its about to pull
  • my legs, glutes and hips are generally achey and a bit stiff
  • a couple of light shooting pains in my left glute
  • when i’m in bed and lie on my right side, my right leg gets achey like I've been lying on it for hours, when its only been minutes.

I have anxiety (managed with AD), do light yoga at home in the morning and i work from home at a desk (not all day or every day, more as and when). Im not very active really, less so in this weather as I garden a lot over Summer, and im definitley sitting on the couch more with these darker nights 🙈

So thats me and my symptoms. Can anyone relate or shed any light?

Im going to go back to the doctors (i moved house recently so maybe my new doctor can shed some new light).

Thanks 🙌

Didn't want to read and not reply . I currently have drop foot after lower back problem and sciatica. And the sciatica has been the most painful part. I couldn't sit down/lie down do much at all without being in a lot of pain.
So I'm not sure if you have sciatica or just a high pain tolerance.
Did the gp say that it may be pressure on a nerve? I think you should take them up on the mri. It's better to find out if it is anything. The earlier the better for longterm recovery.

@Starlight7080 Ahh ok, there is no actual pain, just more of a dull ache. It's almost like I have been on a long haul flight and not moved for hours, that kind of achey annoyance.

No, my previous GP didnt say much else apart from what I've put in my OP. Maybe my new GP will have some more insights.

Thanks for your advice.
