Why have I been invited for Covid vaccine?

I'm mid 50s and the last two years have received an invitation by text to have a Covid vaccine because "your nhs record suggests you may be at increased risk due to a health condition or treatment". I'm baffled as I don't have any health conditions and am not undergoing any treatment. In fact I'm very fit, healthy and not overweight. I looked up the criteria and I definitely don't meet it. DH (same age) has not been invited although he was a couple of years ago when the over 50s were included, as was I. I now feel a bit paranoid in case I have a condition I've never been told about! Am I safe to assume this is just a mistake and someone ticked the wrong box? Anyone else had this? Thanks.

I can't imagine why it would be easier to ask you than to ask your surgery.

No, but my son has high functioning autism. I'm pretty sure they still have my number for him even though he's now an adult. Could be that then, although god knows why that would make him more vulnerable to Covid!

It's not that autistic people are more vulnerable to covid. It's because some autistic people (mostly sensory avoiders) would become extremely distressed if they were ill to the point they needed hospital treatment. My then 12 year old autistic child was in resus and not properly conscious but he was thrashing around and screaming while the Drs and nurses were trying to hold him down and get bloods, stick those rubber pads to his chest in case his heart stopped etc. And if he was highly infectious with covid, especially in the early days it would have been worse. As far as I know there is no list of autistic people who can't cope in a medical situation like that so it's just quicker and easier to offer the vaccine to all autistic people.

My DH used to get them and for the flu jab. When Covid started he was one of the first to get a jab. He felt really embarrassed about‘jumping the queue’ and did worry it with the gp surgery
