Feeling hopeless with no answers to neurological symptoms

I’m feeling so low because nobody can help me. My blood tests are all normal and nothing was picked up on my head and spine MRI scan. My symptoms are:

• constant left leg buzzing / vibration. All the time!
• Pin prick sensations anywhere across the body. Lips, legs, arms, cheek, torso. Like little needles poking me. Often on the side of my lips.
• Random feeling of water droplets on me, but nothing there
• Both feet and lower legs feel freezing cold but not to the touch / tingly
• Feeling of having a hair on my legs that isn’t there.
• Muscle twitching, mainly in calves and thighs but can happen anywhere.

This started in April and I have no answers. I am feeling so down and depressed. I am sure these are MS signs but my MRI and EMG was normal?

The neurologist I saw said he does not think it is but what else could it possibly be with normal bloods and symptoms like this? I am so down about it. It’s taking over my life.

I wondered because I share some symptoms with you (freezing cold feet with tingling and numbness and pin pricks all over) and my GGT came back abnormal. Elevated GGTcan be alcohol related or indicate bile duct disease, diabetes, liver disease. My liver function tests were normal so waiting on more tests.

I don't necessarily agree that fibromyalgia is psychological. Personally, I feel it relates to the nervous system that's stuck in fight or flight mode!. This can be triggered from trauma or a virus! Hence why there is no form of testing that can prove it.

However, I'm sure all fibro warriors wish there was a definite way in diagnosis, so that they can find a solution or cure from such horrendous symptoms.

Please don't take this the wrong way, but are you stressed?

I had all of those except the fizzy leg one all the time. I changed job 7 months ago from where I was very stressed, and reading your list I've realised I've hardly had any of those in the last 6 months except the cold feet, but I have Renaud's so that explains that one.

@BefuddledPuck that's interesting. What further tests are they doing for you? X

@gingerbears just wondering if you ever got to the bottom of these symptoms? I am having similar issues.

Do you take supplements? B6 toxicity is easily done for some people and can present like this.
