Righty, I'm inserting it ok (despite it being gigantic, the size was a shock) however I can feel it in the way you can a tampon if it sits too low which is a bit uncomfortable. I've tried to shove it in further but it gets to the point where it unfolds and I can't shove it in any further because of the suction so it feels too low.

Is this a normal feeling that I'll just get used too? I've cut the long bit off almost completely as it was sitting over to one side and causing discomfort but I think it's still rubbing. Have I got a wonky vagina? LOL

Make sure you cut the entire 'strong' bit off, sounds like that bit is rubbing. Have you got any scarring from giving birth? (it would be sore while getting intimate...)

PotPourri · 23/04/2008 21:15

string I mean, the long bit.

NaughtyNigel · 23/04/2008 21:17

wiggle it up after it has unfolded. holding onto the sides not pushing from the bottom.

No, don't think so. I do sometimes get a dull ache in my vagina when on my period but I think that was going on before I had DD.

I think the string bit isn't helping. I know it's supposed to sit lower than a tampon but I'm guessing you're not supposed to feel it are you?

x posted, thanks I will chop off.

I've never done so much vigorous meddling, think I'll have to give it a break for a bit.

Yes cut the whole thing off. Make sure there are no sticky out bits. Round it off nicely with nail scissors.

I find if it's a bit low I can normally just push it up a little, ready sprung and in situ iykwim. I bear down at the same time as pushing it up and it seems to work for some reason.

I hope you can get it sorted.

Thanks for your advice ladies. It's fitting better today although I have a niggling pain in my abdomen. Do you think this is related? It's not cramp it's more like someone is jabbing me with a broom handle.

Spidermama · 24/04/2008 17:07

God it shouldn't be related. If you take the mooncup out does the pain go?

gingerninja · 24/04/2008 20:54

Thanks spidermama, the pain did go earlier but I had to take it out anyway as it was just so uncomfortable. I get it in straight but then it moves and despite cutting the long bit off completely it still rubs against one side. I'll try again next month.

Last month I had a day when it felt very uncomfortable. (I had tummy ache then cramping like I needed a big poo... Sorry TMI I know!!)

Anyway, I pulled it out quick & started again & decided I had it inserted too high.

It's definately worth trying again as so easy once you get the hang of it.

Always carry baby wipes with you.

very good suggestion re wipes. thanks
