I've had my flu and COVID jabs a week apart each time. I had my flu jab last week with no side effects and am due to have COVID tomorrow. I feel it's too much for your immune system to have both at the same time, and I definitely wouldn't consider having them in the same arm, although having had lymph nodes removed from my right underarm, I can ever have vaccinations or blood taken from that arm anyway.

I had to both in the same arm because I sleep on my side.

No marks. Just couldn't lift my arm for a few days.

I posted for advice which I have gratefully received, not to debate the pros and cons of either vaccine with an anti vaxer!

You can of course start your own thread to discuss this instead of hijacking mine with your verbal diarrhoea.
Have a lovely evening, goodnight 😘

I had just the flu jab on Saturday. It was the most aggressive and painful jab I've ever had and made me cry out. As she pulled it out it immediately swelled up, and she said she might have hit a small blood vessel. It remained swollen, then a hot red patch developed, strangely a couple of inches under the jab bruise. Today (Monday) it's doubled in size so called the surgery. They told me to go in, and said it was 'odd', and gave me antibiotics. I'm feeling pretty pissed off and mightily regret having it done. Won't be going next year.

@Portakalkedi Was the injection done at that site that is red, or further up where the bruising is? The bruising is where it should be injected, but I too have never seen someone come out with redness further down the arm like that. Hopefully it will clear up soon.

Yes the bruised are is where the jab was , but weirdly the rash is a couple of inches lower.

Itll be gone by tomorrow. You're not the only one getting a weird rash.

I got mine (both) this afternoon. The pharmacist explained that they normally do one in each arm, covid in left and flu in right.

Very quick and efficient ... just waiting for the after-effects to set in!

I've been moving my arms and shoulders which is supposed to help. DP got both jabs too, so it'll probably not at all be interesting to compare any side-effects.
