Sore feet - how do you describe it?

You know when you have been on your feet all day and the bottoms of your feet ache….how would you describe it / has it got a medical term?

Im having some health issues, run down and very tired all the time. My feet ache like I’ve done a 10 mile walk and I’ve done very little. But when I look it up it just talks about injuries to your feet.

What’s it called / does it have name?

plantar faciitis?

TwoLeftSocksWithHoles · 12/10/2024 20:09

Could be plantar faciitis as PP says. (Sometimes called 'Policeman's Heel' from pounding the beat. Of course they are all in cars now, so they probably don't get it.)

Do your feet hurt underneath when you first get out of bed? Mine did, and apparently the tendons contract during the night and when you first get up they stretch again and HURT.

I was told to wear 'good shoes' and it can take several months to heal.

Note: I'm not a Doctor, but I did have a toy stethoscope as a child, which must qualify me a bit. Surely?

Oh yes this could be it! Thanks both, I don’t know why this never came up with my google search.

That's exactly what I get with rheumatoid arthritis

If your feet are tender and it feels a bit like there's stone under the front of your foot, it could be Morton's Neuroma which sounds far worse than it is. Whatever, you need a good podiatrist.

I would look up 'plantar faciitis' online as a first thing to do.

Also, arch support insoles may help you.
