And what can I do?

It's been going on for months.
I've just took the back off the remote to shred my legs to placate the itch.

It's driving me insane!

If you are pregnant tell your midwife or GP immediately.

Otherwise it could be hormonal? The weather, your pjs. Lack of moisturiser. Bed bugs.

Dry skin.

LoveTheRainAndSun · 11/10/2024 22:48

Not just dry skin? I've been having this problem with my shins. Moisturiser helps.

Firesideblanket · 11/10/2024 22:49

Mine was under active thyroid.

outforawalkbiatch · 11/10/2024 22:56

Mine do this every so often, this is the only stuff that helps

No other lotion works!

are you post-menapausal?

PatChaunceysFruitCake · 11/10/2024 22:58

I started with this about ten years ago, now I can itch all over. I take an antihistamine when it gets bad and it stops it completely.

ConstitutionHill · 11/10/2024 23:00

I used to get this in UK when I wore thick tights for 9 months of the year. I live in a hot country now so it's not an issue. I used to get my hairbrush and have a massive scratch sesh occasionally, stopping just before my skin got raw.

A cream with Urea helped. Also wearing tights with cotton/wool blend and having tights-free days.

Low magnesium

nottoplan · 11/10/2024 23:10

Under active thyroid

scabies ( less likely as it’s been ongoing for months but don’t rule it out )

hamsterchump · 11/10/2024 23:13

Does your hair grow quickly and do you shave your legs? Mine get really itchy sometimes at night when the stubble is growing back, and my hair grows really quickly (have to shave every day to be smooth) so that's a lot of the time.

Same. Shorts sun and sea fixes it for me.

I changed from biological, fragranced washing powder to non-bio, unfragranced. Hey presto - no more itchy legs!

Sandwichgen · 11/10/2024 23:23

Mine stopped itching when I got my blood sugar under control

ButtSurgery · 11/10/2024 23:41

I'm perimenopausal and I've had itchy lower limbs for years. Only solution is daily moisturising, straight after my shower. I'm using Cerave moisturiser. Slathered over both legs and both arms. I also take antihistamines. Never had a problem in the night since.

Moonshiners · 11/10/2024 23:43

Mine was citric acid allergy. Took me years to work it out.
