To go ahead with a brain mri? Anyone ever regret getting one?

Long story short, I casually said in conversation after an ENT appointment that went fine, that I sometimes could hear a pulse in my ear, the consultant then said that I’ve triggered the protocol for a full mri but it was agreeed to wait 6 months until I’d given birth, anyway nearly a year has passed! The mri is Sunday, I also get very occasional migraine aura.
the pulse tinnitus has decreased to almost nothing really I have to listen so hard to find it now.
I’m now worried in case they find something like an aneurysm i’d rather not know as be more worried! got major health anxiety! Sorry long post I just don’t know whether to cancel this mri now or to just man up and get on with it 😣

Hi all.. sorry to drop in. Do you have to take a contrast dye before you take your scan? Heard and read about the type of dye used can have side effects?
Thanks.

Hi I was worried too about the dye! I called last week and they said it’s not scheduled for dye even though it’s a MRA plus MRi so I’m not sure hope that’s correct as was concerned about effects as currently breastfeeding, will find out when I have the scan

Read up re the contrast on the Breastfeeding Network website before you go and be prepared to share the info if needed.

But definitely go. Since having children I've made a policy decision to take every test or screening I am ever offered as it's my job to stay healthy for my child.

Did you read the OP?

The OP literally ASKS whether they should man up and get on with it. I said yes.
