My nose streams every morning. Anything I could try?

I think I am a bit allergic to house dust, fabric dust, and our cat.

I take an allergy tablet every morning. I took the same one for years, but earlier this year it seemed to stop working, so I switched to a different active ingredient.

I do keep the house clean - although it's never a hypoallergenic chamber. 3 kids. Cat. Live near a road.

I just get fed up with spending the first hour of my day blowing my nose 100 times. It's like a waterfall.

Anyone got any experience or suggestions?

Sterimar

I would go with a good air purifier and hepa filter, be sure it is the right size for the room.

By sterimar, do you mean the salt spray?

Have never considered an air purifier / hepa. Do they really work? I don't know anything about them but for some reason just assumed they were a bit of a placebo. I'll investigate - not sure how to place one in an open plan living space.

@floorchid I've personally not tried yet but doing some research myself recently as I sneeze far too much from dust allergies. I'm going to wait until black friday and grab one! Lots of people with dust allergies say they are a game changer. But you have to research for the right one for your size. They are meant to be placed near to the middle of the room. Also maybe one for your bedroom as well. Lots of useful testimonials and info here:

My son wakes up each day and has to blow his nose several times. Have you tried allergy balm? It's like a very sticky Vaseline that you put around the inside of each nostril. It supposedly catches the allergens before you breathe them in. It's been a game changer for DS. He also bows seems better even when he doesn't use it - like a reset.

What anti histamine do you take?

The hospital put me on 2 piriton at bed time and telfast 180 in the morning.
