Exhausted/pain

is it normal to be absolutely exhausted/in pain by the end of working week? My job was advertised as some housework but it's more like 90%. I'm a few stone overweight so I know that does not help but most of my weekend is spent recovering! I think my job was mis advertised. Just ranting really. My legs/hips hurt all day even when lying down. Getting out off bed is really painful, even turning over. Whole body, hands feet. I'm in my mid 50s. I have to pull myself up the stairs. Do I just need to lose weight? It's ridiculous 😒

Realistically from what you've said, yes. If housework (even a day of it) is leaving you unable to get up the stairs and it's because you're overweight then it makes sense to do something about it. But it's also possible there's something else going on e.g. arthritis so that's worth checking too.

Fibromyalgia maybe?

She said by the end of the week not the end of the day….

op I’m in my mid 30s and housework is hard, I have a 5 bed house and cleaning it takes it out of me. I would say it’s normal to be knackered if you’re doing day after day of work on your feet, up and down etc. My mum is 60 and I can’t see her coming with that despite being active and not her weight.

of course you already know your weight will not help, losing some will probably make you feel better aside from the job.

could you look for alternative work if it’s not what you signed up for?
