Her two front teeth stick out considerably, and she keeps getting sores on her lips were her teeth dig in.

I have been putting bonjela on the sore bits, but this doesn't seem to do much.

Are there any particularly good lip balms that would help ?

don't use bonjela, it has alcohol in and will dry them out

a non-paraben based lipbalm (look for beeswax or shea butter ones) is a good idea

or waitrose baby bottom butter

CrackerOfNuts · 21/04/2008 16:11

Oh didn't realise that about the bonjela. I used that because she has got a little scab forming on the one bit.

Right, will have a look for the others you mentioned. Perhaps the body shop will be the best place to go.

or a big boots

bonjela is really only for inside mouth sores where it's wet

katwith3kittens · 21/04/2008 16:13

Vaseline is good too.

MrsBadger · 21/04/2008 16:14

I wouldn't use vaseline where she'll lick it as it's petrol-based (hence preference for lentil hippy beeswaxy stuff)

CrackerOfNuts · 21/04/2008 16:15

Right have just given her a tub of vasaline and will look for another lipbalm when I go shopping.

She is getting well pissed of with her teeth now, what with this and being called goofy and rabbit all the time

burts bees do nice natural balms and also lush?

I'd put loads on at night whilst she is sleeping so it doesnt get licked off

CrackerOfNuts · 21/04/2008 16:15

We have had hundreds of lipbalms, but she can't find any of them.

If it was for me, I would use blistese to clear it up then a lipsalve. Not sure what age they can use blistese from and it might sting a bit but I've found it really good.
