I have dry skin and a number of different kinds of eczema including a severe type of eczema. I’m not sure I trust the products the GP has prescribed me, they are all very oily and cheap and have all kinds of ingredients in them. I buy a number of products from aveeno including moisturiser, face wash, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, body oil, those oat sachet things etc, and because I need to use a lot of product it is all adding up to just over £120 a month which is really unaffordable for me.

Our GP prescribed DD aveeno moisturiser for eczema. I didnt even ask, that’s what we were given.

@ZanyPombear Aveeno is the best. Can the GP put it on repeat prescription for you?

Aveeno is great so is Moo Goo.

Don't buy oat sachets, just put some oats in a sock and tie the end.

Came here to say this. Let the sock run underwater for a few minutes to mingle with the water. I have psoriasis, and I take oat baths regularly.

When my daughter gets flare ups she uses exeskin - only thing that didn't sting. She uses Cerave moisturiser once the worst has calmed down. Cetaphil and cerave make up the majority of her skin care on day to day.
Not what you asked but have you tried excluding foods or keeping a food diary? It's what made biggest different for my daughter and she hardly gets any flares at all now. Will get it with too much sugar and some fruits, laundry detergents, perfumes etc.
