Can anyone recommend a decent but not overly priced multi-vitamin?

For adults and/or children.

I want to try and avoid as much illness as possible this winter. DS has just started school (although he did go to nursery and got every bug going there) but I'd like to improve our chances!

What do others use? Do you think they're worth the money?

Lidl vitamin gummies. Separate ones for kids and adults. Easy to take.

Forceval is good. It has all the vitamins and minerals. I'm prescribed it. I don't think it's all that cheap but it's doctor approved strength, for malnutriton. You can buy that from plenty of online pharmacies.

I use asda multi vits. For overall general vitamins they have 100% of your recommended intake of vits and minerals, except magnesium and calcium. Some more expensive brands have lower amounts for 2 x the price. I have a generally robust immune system. The tablets are quite large tho.
The kids have bassetts chewies.

Dc2 dietian said that gummies aren't as good as tablets (think it was something to do with absorption and degrading).
Also said a healthy person should just need a vitamin d supplement. Someone who's not eating a balanced diet for any reason should take an a-z vitamin (rather than a multivitamin) as have more in. And the expensive brands are no better than most cheaper brands and we should check the ingredients list to compare.
Dc2 has vitamin d, a-z vitamins and calcium as has poor health. Dc1 just has a vitamin d in winter neither are rarely ill from bugs and viruses. Dc1 has not had any sick time for about 2 years, dc2 sick time is mostly hospital appointments or odd day due to medical issues not bugs so it seems to work for us.

I was advised by the nurse at the bone health clinic to start taking Vitamin D, but I didn't need to buy an expensive brand the Pound shop one was just as effective.

I've bought lidl gummies this morn for myself and DS (kids ones), just had one and it tasted great! I could've eaten another 3 in one go.
Anyway, I'll report back in a month or so and let you know if we've been ill or not.
If that means anything 😂

Bassetts gummies are great - reasonably priced and they taste very good (almost too good!!). DD took the strawberry kids ones when she was younger and is now on to the pomegranate & raspberry adult ones.
