Strange fatigue/faint feeling

Hello, I’m seeing my GP soon but I’m sitting here so fed up worrying and wondering about this I just wanted to ask if this sounds familiar to anybody?

Through the day, not every day say 3 days out of 7, I’m getting this weird fatigue that comes over me, it’s not like when you’re tired because you’ve been busy or exercised it’s like something else and I can’t always predict when I’ll get it.

I had it again today, it feels like that feeling when you’re going to black out but no stars and no other faint feeling, it’s so scary, almost feels like you have to blink over and over again, like so tired you can’t even see straight but again not like normal physical tiredness. I’m getting scared as it’s happened once when driving as well.

Yeah I did wonder! I’m 40. I do have some brain fog, I forgot to mention which kind of highlights the fact!! Grin

I was your age when it started, so on the early side of perimenopause. It really wrecked my sense of wellbeing as I felt I couldn't trust my body anymore or do those things, like long walks, that I enjoyed.

Thanks everyone you’re really kind sharing ideas.

I’ve been taking my blood pressure after feeling sick and having the funny vision and it’s 97/65 which is low for me.

Yes I’ll be having cardiac tests they said. Did you friend have chest pain, I don’t have any pain.

No she didn’t!

Women's heart pain can sometimes manifest very definitely to men’s’. She had vague indigestion,

Let us know how you get on at the gp op.

I understand your worry. It’s really frustrating when you can’t trust your body to do what you want it to do.

Yes that’s low. After getting the all clear from cardiology tests I’m now on steroids to raise my blood pressure and also have to take salt each day and increase my fluid intake. Also compression leggings which really help. Hope you get it sorted.

Sorry I meant to come back and update, my cardiac tests were clear echo and ecg.

Still struggling unfortunately. Have been trying to push through but very hard some days.

Only anomaly found so far was low ferritin.

Thanks all.

Start taking b12 tablets, vit d and magnesium daily.

If you've got Savers near you they're cheaper there.

Thanks funny you say that, had advice to do that recently.

It's ridiculous that GPs don't offer this information to people.

Don't take vit d3 too late at night though.
It can keep you awake.
Also tea n coffee to be avoided about 1 hour before and after.

I've got a few female family on them now and they can feel the difference.

I know, I know they’re busy but it just feels like ‘bloods are fine off you go’. I know that makes sense but here I am unable to function and fumbling for what to do.

Thank you!
