Large jaw cyst

Has anyone had experience of Jaw cysts? I have recently had a CT and discovered I have a very large cystic mass in my jaw which is extending up into my sinus! I have bone loss in my jaw and my jaw has a fracture in it, presumably from a slowly growing cyst pulling my jaw apart.

i have a biopsy next week but really really worried about the possible diagnosis and subsequent surgery.

I had a GA as they put the drain in first and then the second op was to remove the cyst with the drain. I woke up pain free from that and the recovery has been much easier. I think the drain is the worst bit!

Hi there! I have a large cyst in my lower right jaw. 4 months ago I went in and got a biopsy and my impacted wisdom tooth removed on that side. The biopsy ended up being inconclusive and my surgeon wanted to wait a few months to monitor and see if a second biopsy was needed or if the bone would regenerate on its own (which

which i’ve never heard of in my research but i don’t know. 3 weeks ago i started having severe pain and swelling off and on in the area and another surgeon told me to push for a second biopsy. Did you get a biopsy before treatment? Also what was your treatment timeline from the time you had the CT and discovered the cyst to the time it was biopsied and/or treated? My main fear is fracture and further compromising things by waiting even longer than I have.

Yes I had a CT and then a biopsy about a month later. I then had a drainage tube fitted about month after that and then the whole cyst taken out about 2 months after that. I’d push for another biopsy. My jaw bone at the back was quite weak too and I had a small crack in my jaw. I wouldn’t have wanted to leave it much longer
