This is highly embarrassing so name changed!
I do now occasionally suffer from these delights!
Usually it happens after I eat something like today- came from work and I ate 4 slices of cheddar on its own on empty stomach or the other day I drunk some Pepsi max on empty stomach too.
Is this normal after these foods? I don’t think I have a lactose intolerance as I drink/ eat full fat milk/yoghurts and no issues.
The other day I had instant coffee ( Nescafé satchets) with single cream and yep, happened again!
what’s even wet fart? When it happened for the first time it actually scared me!
Now I take a spare undies to work!
( btw I’m 51 yr old)

But I do think speaking to a dietician would probably be worthwhile. My daughter has IBS and a single appointment with a good dietician changed her life. IIRC it only cost about £150 or so, money very well spent!

Lot of things cause bloat/wind , coffee being one of them (google it), make a list of what you eat and when you get the farts.

Try more fibre in your diet for a start

Can you keep a food diary? Note what you eat and how bloated you feel afterwards and whether you have any incidents afterwards. Might help you pinpoint if a specific food is causing your tummy upset. More fibre in your diet might help to make things a bit more solid! Also other posters have highlighted your pelvic floor. There are videos online for exercises you can do to strengthen your pelvic floor. I definitely need to start doing these myself!

I had a couple of these horrors after Covid affected my gut. I saw a dietician and they recommended a low Fodmap diet-few weeks later, problem solved and I can eat almost anything. I have a good diet though.
