storing medication in the heat

Hay fever symptoms got worse last week and I kept getting prolonged coughing fits, and very breathless. GP prescribed Salamol inhaler which is working well.

The package says store below 25C and do not refrigerate.
The house has been 28-30C for the past few days.
Pharmacist said he didn't know what effect the higher temp would have on medication, possibly wouldn't work so well but he wasn't sure, Does anyone have more helpful info?

My inhaler is now in the garage which is comparatively cool at 25.3C but not very handy if I need it in a hurry.

You could put it inside something, like an insulated lunch box or similar with something that has been chilled, like a Capri Sun from the fridge. It won't bring it down to fridge temperature but it will keep it cooler. Then put the lunch box in a cupboard or somewhere out of direct sunlight.

We have this at work quite a lot at work at the moment (hospital). When we report medicines as out of temp range pharmacy check and generally the expiry dates are brought forward by a few months.
So, your inhaler will be fine but may lose efficiency if you keep it until expiry date.
Dry medications are usually very stable, it's the liquids kept in fridges (injectables) which can be more unstable in the heat (a bit like me actually).
Hope this helps
