Teeth removed, implants on back teeth?

So I’ve had some work done on one of my back teeth to try to save it, I’ve had a root canal and a crown on it a few years ago. Had a check up at the dentist today and had some x rays and she said that there’s a crack in it and it could be privately redone again root canal, crown, etc to try to save it or it would need to be removed. If it needs to be removed is it worth getting an implant on a back tooth? It’s second from the back lower? I have issues with other back teeth, fillings, crowns, one I wasn't born with, another that had to be removed as the wisdom tooth next to it impacted it :( so many teeth problems and I'm late 30s it makes me so upset :(
She then said my wisdom tooth looks like it could have some decay on the x ray so she would recommend removing it. My two kids atm are 2 and 3 and life is so full on and crazy can I wait to get this work done when they’re in full time school or something? The dentist said I could wait but I may get pain, swelling, infection, etc but it could also be ok for a while longer. Ahh really don’t know what to do, right now really feel like I have no time for loads of dental appointments 🙈. Also if I do need a lot done implants, etc is it worth going abroad to save money?? God knows how I’ll find the time but money is kinda tight right now 😞. I've also read about implants needing a lot of after care and sometimes failing, some people say don't bother if they're back teeth that nobody can see.

Get it removed and see how you feel without it. It has to settle for a few months before the implant goes in anyway.

I tried going without the tooth but I'm also missing my wisdoms, and four from near the front (removed because of overcrowding) and just didn't feel I had many teeth left! I found it hard to eat as well. So had the implant done, which was the best decision for me. It has come loose a couple of times over the years, so I was glad to have had it done in the UK so the same dentist could quickly fix it.

The problem with leaving the gap is that your corresponding upper tooth will start to erupt from the gum, as it has nothing to bite against.

It may take a few years but it’ll start to happen eventually.

I still have a wisdom tooth but the one next to it was removed on one side. On the other side top both wisdom and next tooth are gone. It has had no impact on chewing and you can't see it so I didn't bother with implants.

I had a back molar that had previously been a root canal with a gold crown which is showing how old it is. However the tooth began to decay from underneath and disintegrated crown came off . Had to get the broken bits removed. By the time I let it heal I decided against an implant . Didn't affect my bite or chewing.

When a dentist says it might get infected , etc they are telling you what to expect . However it can take years by which time it might be easier to schedule and you might be in a better financial situation. My advice would be that if it is not causing you problems leave it alone.

@Soonenough yes this is exactly the same as what my mum said and she was a dental nurse many years ago. Tempted to just leave it and wait till I get any issues to sort it out

Other option is a bridge which is essentially a crown supported on the two adjacent teeth. I'm having one done at the moment, although it is a bit further forward so may not be suitable for your teeth.

I had a tooth out in my early 30s and I've never replaced it. There's just a gap at the back and that's it. It's also the second one from the back. It's never bothered me but see how you feel.
