Pins and Needles Morning and Evening

Hello
I get pins and needles in the morning and evening regularly for the last month. Main culprit is right hand side of body but has on odd occasion been in the left. No other symptoms.

Seen GP. Bloods done, "everything in normal range and no further action required". Anybody had any experiences of this? Any ideas? GP not concerned and not suggested further testing. Contemplating seeing a chiropractor.

Any thoughts/similar experiences?

Thanks in advance 😊

My husband had this and was eventually referred to a neurologist. This took about a year. What we found out was that although his Vit B12 was 'normal range' when tested by GP, it was only 150 (v low end of acceptable). So now he has a supplement and he's fine. It's a shame we never knew when he had his bloods done 11m before. Obviously, see your GP but no harm in taking a supplement too to see if it works.

(Or checking the numbers from your tests)

@SoulMole thank you. I may give that a go. I'll have to take a look at what my actual levels are at the GP. Do you mind me asking if he takes a specific b12 supplement or a b complex one?

Sometimes pins and needles can be related to low blood pressure. GP probably won't approve but salty food might help, especially if you normally have a low salt diet.

Did the Dr mention your thyroid? I have under active thyroid and this was one of the symptoms when I first got diagnosed. Do your hands feel weak at all like you cant hold things for long?(It got to a point where I couldn't hold my knife and fork whole I was eating kept having to put them down or I couldn't hold a brush long enough to do mine or the kids hair) Other symptoms that I didn't know about untill I was diagnosed was feeling cold all the time, headaches, lethargic (literally so tired all the time was sleeping full nights and still slept for hours on the couch during the day sometimes) muscle aches (especially the tops of my arms feel so heavy and achy), hair falling out or noticeably getting thin, dry skin (iv always suffered with eczema but it had got so bad my hands where cracking and bleeding) I had almost every symptom on the list and just didn't realise that they where symptoms because they where all just things that I assumed was either getting older or something I already suffered with that was just a little worse at the moment. I'm not saying it is thyroid but could be possible as pins and needles was how my hands started.

@Hayleykieran90 Thank you for GP has tested thyroid as part of bloods and came back normal. But my hair has always been thin (except when pregnant) and I shed a lot of it. I've always put this down to always being on borderline anaemic. I might have to do some experimentation with some iron and b12. Doctor not helpful otherwise!

Thanks. I am very conscious about having low salt so I might also try this!
