Does anyone have any proven remedies for this issue? It seems you can spend ooodles with no guarantee of improved results.

I've been having the same issue due to stress. My hairdresser said to take high strength biotin, massage scalp and lay on bed with head off the edge so blood flows to head 🤣

I haven't tried the last one yet!

What biotin are you using?

I wonder if the tipping your head upside down works!

Have you had your iron levels checked recently? I had the same problem for a while, my hairbrush was full every time I brushed my hair, it was horrible. I tried everything and every product on the market but my hair was thinning and falling out fast. Then I was admitted to hospital for a procedure. Blood tests showed my haemoglobin was on the floor.

I had a course of iron tablets and in time, an iron infustion. the improvement has been absolutely dramatic. I still take biotin, but am not sure if it's worth it, but what the heck.

Get a blood test from your GP (check your iron levels for example).

I take a daily biotin hair complex and multivitamins and use minoxidil and use gentle herbal shampoo for fine hair from Holland and Barrett . I also use a DIY castor oil, coconut oil and rosemary essential oil mask on my hair a couple of times a month.

That has definitely helped.

I use the H&B one - biotin hair complex.

Is it due to menopause? I’ve found the caffeine shampoos and conditioners help with the shedding but nothing I’ve found helps with breaking other than using a satin pillowcase.

Hi did you go to the doctors about your hair falling out . I'm having this problem it's falling out I found it all round my house . My hair brush is full every time I jist thought it was due to having a baby . Before pregnancy I had thick curly hair now it's super thin and constantly falling out x

@Tiegs Yes, I went to GP because I was feeling rotten (and mentioned the hair issue too). Blood tests then showed the iron levels were very low. I was prescribed iron tablets, then I was in hospital for an unconnected issue, and they were on to it straight away. They postponed the procedure and gave me an iron infusion straight away. Never looked back (fingers crossed).

For most people the proper prescription for iron tablets should help enormously in time (if your levels are low). I had a perforated ulcer though, which I had no idea I had! That was causing the low levels.

I take Vitamin D in low dose over the Summer (what Summer!) and higher in the Winter. That seems to help also, as my Vit D levels are normal, i.e. not too high which can be dangerous I hear.

Good luck.
