Hi,

I've had both my bottom wisdom teeth come through (doesn't look like they are through fully, but have stayed sort of half way through for a couple years now)
Then recently I've been getting bad sinus pressure and my right bottom wisdom tooth looking like it's pushing through more and my gum around it is swollen. Also. Above it feels like my top wisdom tooth is coming through.. my dentist has gone X-rays and didn't even tell me I had top wisdom teeth to come through?!

Can anyone help with what I should take to ease the pain? I didn't even know it was coming through until I felt with my tongue and finger and thought oh hang on I feel another tooth pushing through and tbh it doesn't feel like there is room for it at all!!!

I've also been EXHAUSTED!! I've spent most the weekend asleep in bed.. is this normal when a tooth is erupting? It's absolutely wiped me out!

Push your dentist to have them removed. They only get worse. Had bottom one removed in hospital under GA as suffered from many infections from it, this was 20 years ago when I was 30. Had top one removed recently under sedation as this was trapping food, saliva, between tooth and gum and giving me horrendous stinky breath 🙄 despite cleaning. was a bit worried about sedation after having a GA before, thinking I would feel and know what was going on. I didnt it was great. My NHS dentist referred me to a specialist in tooth removal and sedation, cost was band 2 think about £70.

For now, gargling salt water will help but it sounds like they're infected. I've had two out, third coming out Tuesday as they always get infected. Ring the dentist first thing and get them to look at them.

Oh no bless you :(
Yeah I'm going to ring dentist first thing. Thank you!
May I ask what your symptoms were when they got infected? How did you know?!

Oh lord.. honestly it's problem after problem when it comes to teeth I swear!! 😔 the bottom two don't seem to cause me any issues until recently. I'll phone dentist first thing and go from there.. thank you for your advice

If infected you would know for sure! Actually getting the wisdom teeth was just achy and annoying but an infected one was a different story. I had one partially through so the gum was loose round it...had initial gum pain which I thought was a mouth ulcer. It got worse over a few days - painful to bite down, generalised jaw and neck pain, a headache. Eventually couldn't sleep due to pain. Got up and took a look in bathroom mirror and my face had swollen significantly on one side. Got an emergency dentist app same day and they said it was infected and removed it immediately and sent me off with two different antibiotics. I have all of mine except for the one they pulled and no other issues in years, touch wood!

Bongela or aspirin / paracetemol crumbled and rubbed directly on the gum will help. Have a dig about with a dental stick, there's probably some food trapped

I've had this forever. Wish I'd just got it sorted earlier!

If it's really painful it's most likely infected, get antibiotics in quickly.

And get them out, awful teeth I've fit one left to come out.
