Olive oil vs rapeseed oil.?

I've been looking into the claims that rapeseed oil causes 'inflammation' along with other seed oil which is a very popular topic for 'wellness influencers'. Just read an interesting article claiming there's no hard evidence of this yet.
Although I use good quality EVOO for salads, which I got as a gift - For cooking and making mayonnaise I generally buy mild/ light olive oil but the only one I can afford is refined/blended in a clear plastic bottle so not great and probably goes rancid even though I store it in the dark.
My local Lidl now sells uk unrefined cold pressed rapeseed oil at a decent price. It's in a dark glass bottle too.

Does anybody have any info (backed up with actual science/ knowledge) if this would be better ?

Dr. Cate Shanahan’s website is full of links to studies on how unhealthy seed oils are.

EVOO, coconut oil, butter, ghee, lard and tallow are what we use at home.

thanks @Kittea what would you use for roasting and making mayo (EVOO hs too bitter for mayo)

No problem!

We use normal olive oil. Not the extra virgin. It’s been filtered more times so it’s got a really light flavour.

Edited to add we use tallow or lard for roasting and deep frying, ghee and coconut oil for frying and EVOO for raw on salads, bresaola etc.

My nutritional therapist has told me not to cool with seed oils and to only use EVOO cold.

She says it's healthier to cook with butter, gee or beef dripping
