This has been happening for the last year or so, its so painful and happens when I eat certain foods, Im always chomping down on the right side and now there is what looks like a massive callus or it would be if it was somewhere else on the body. Its so painful. Ive just done it again on my dinner

For some months last year I couldnt even eat on the right side as I kept catching it, then it got better although still a lump and I wasnt catching it as much, now its happening a lot again

Is there a way of getting it removed? I dont know why its doing it so much, it ruins a meal each time it happens as its painful, I can taste blood and Im too pissed off to finish eating.

Get it checked out by a dentist. It might not be a harmless lump.

I'd say this is caused by a problem with your bite and/or teeth so it needs to be checked out by a dentist who can look at how your jaw moves and the positioning of the relevant teeth.

I used to do this a lot as a child and the GP said it was due to puppy fat! I still do it occasionally and I’m definitely too old for puppy fat.

I thought it might be to do with fat cheeks, but funny enough in the same time period that this has been happening Ive lost nearly 10 stone, so I would have liked to think my cheeks are slimmer!

I had this and my dentist referred me to a specialist - the mouth ones. He took a biopsy, just in case. In reality, he removed the whole lump. It is a pretty painful operation - local anaesthetic. But it's gone.

See a dentist. They can refer you or, hopefully sort it out.
Do you smoke? Mouth issues can stem from smoking.

I do this several times a year….the lump lasts a couple of weeks then goes…..see a dentist ….get it checked ….anything that
asks over 3 weeks
