I am suffering from the above problem. I have tried numerous creams and powders both prescribed and bought over the counter. Nothing has so far worked. Can you please let me have a solution as this is driving me over the edge. Thanks

A lot of people will come on and say O’Keefes working hands.
The best hand creams I find are the ones aimed at older hands, plus add in a cuticle oil.
But make sure you are drying your hands properly, and use rubber gloves if using any cleaning products etc

I know certain soaps make my hands worse.

I know certain soaps make my hands worse.

I agree with this, I suffered with awful dry, splitting hands and probably tried every cream on the shelf. It was the hand soap I was using for washing. I can't use any anti bacterial soap on my hands at all.

Neutrogena Norwegian in the tiny tube which has 300 applications. O'Keefe's did nothing for my hands, though I liked the waxy balm consistency.
Neutrogena saved my hands during the pandemic though.

Nursem handcream. Amazing stuff.

I have a terrible problem with dry hands. L'Occitane 20% shea butter handcream is my absolute favourite. It is the best!

I no longer use soap for my hands (unless theyve been in contact with something grim), instead I use an emollient (Cetraben) and warm water. This is what my Dr suggested.

I moisturise every time I dry my hands either with more cetraben or with Palmer's Cocobutter hand cream.

I always wear wahsing up gloves when touching detergent (wiping kitchen surfaces etc.).

I've tried basically every hand cream know to man, and the combination above is the only one that keeps my knuckles and palms from splitting.
