Does this look like I need to see a doctor?

It's on my forehead and I've had it for a while. I've always had a lot of moles and now age spots ( I'm 71)
My daughter saw it and freaked out!
The thing is, it's very difficult for me to get a doctors appointment and even to travel 5 miles to the surgery, so I'd rather not go.
Any thoughts?
Thanks!

It might just be a keratosis, but I’d get it checked just to be sure. Perhaps email the photo to your GP surgery ?

TraitorsGate · 10/06/2024 14:07

I'd get that checked, you could try an e consult and attach a photo if your gp has that service,

I've looked up keratosis and it does look similar.
However, I'm going to try and make an appointment tomorrow as I also have a spot on my nose that doesn't look right.
Thank you both for your answers!
@TraitorsGate I may be able to send an image, I'll see what the surgery says!

Both my dh and I have had skin cancer this year, please get it checked. I only went about mine as dh had had it and it didn't present as you'd think cancer would.

Even if it does turn out to be dodgy there is very efficacious chemotherapy cream available . I have had two malignant skin things diagnosed by the GP at the surgery and resolved with Efudix within six weeks .
