Hi,
Yesterday my 3.5 dd was riding on her scooter at the park when she tripped and banged her mouth on the handle bars of her scooter. My husband and I were mortified to see that her two front teeth had been pushed backwards (please see image for reference). We immediately took her to A&E who assessed for head trauma (all fine) and then told us to get in touch with a dentist.
We took her to a private dentist Saturday night who said that the teeth would need to come out as they were very damaged. He told us to contact our usual dentist to arrange this using gas and air as he thought a local anesthetic alone might traumatise her. Does anyone have any similar experiences they can share (hopefully with a positive outcome)? Or if anyone knows a way they can realign them? They are quite loose though...
I'm so incredibly heartbroken as she has the most beautiful smile and now she'll have a huge gap for years until her adult teeth come through.😠I've also heard that it can cause problems with alignment and marks on the new adult teeth from the previous damage?
TIA
