I had keyhole surgery on my knee 1.5 weeks ago.

I've changed my dressings a couple of times but left the steristrips as they were still adhered to the skin.

Today I took my dressing off and the steristrips were no longer adhered so it's the first time I've seen the actual incisions.

The incision on the right I'm happy with, good scab, etc.

The one on the right still looked like an open wound this morning although now the air is getting to it it's looking better. It's feels a lot sorer than the other one, is pink/red around the edge, slightly warm to the touch compared to the other one and (TMI) the dressings this morning didn't smell great.

That being said there's no weeping...it's only slightly warm (not hot to the touch) and is definitely already looking better than it did first thing.

Husband thinks I should get it looked at.

I think it's worth just giving it a couple of salt baths and antiseptic cream today and monitor the redness / heat.

Just wanted some second opinions really (I realise this isn't proper medical advice, etc)

(Pls forgive the dried blood, that was under the steri strips and I'm going to send husband out for more so I don't open the wound on the left when I start walking around).

I'm no medic but looks like it's fine and healing to me.

Looks how I'd expect, I probably wouldn't put any creams on it unless told to. How are you feeling?

Generally I've been well but it kept me awake last night being sore which has triggered a migraine Hmm

Otherwise I feel well. Thanks for the second opinions - I'll do a salt bath using boiled water and keep it open to the air today and see how it is later...
