What might this rash be?

I got a small rash on the area where my glasses sit around my nose. The thing is, I've had this rash in the past, long before I wore glasses when my thyroid levels were out. Once my meds increased it went away.

This time, my thyroid levels are fine and this rash is now spreading to the bottom of my nose, which suggests it's not contact dermatitis from my glassss I think?

The doctor said to try and cutting out any new products including nail varnishes (!) as she doesn't think it's contact dermatitis either, and suggested using hydrocortizone cream.

For reference I am perimenopausal and on a settled regime of HRT. The rash started more recently.

Just posting in case anyone has had similar experiences?

Have you tried things like sudacreme /Savlon/ hydrocortisone?

I wonder whether you should consider the rash as a warning flare from your body to say something isn’t right. So the first time you got it, it was because of your thyroid but this time your thyroid is fine so it’s something else.

Can you have a full check of all your levels - FBC, liver, kidneys etc etc?

Doctor has said to use hydrocortisone for a week and see, but I was just interested to see if others had similar issues.

It's so funny you say this because this is my first instinct.

I have had full bloods and they are fine and also even though thyroid blood tests are fine, there is a lot to suggest you can still not feel OK even if bloods suggest otherwise.

Peri is also quite stressful and my HRT is still settling in.

I did wonder if it's perimenopause/thyroid or a combination!
