Hi there
I need a bit of advice. My DH is English, I'm Irish and we live in Ireland. My FIL has been increasingly poor health for some time. He's also very aggressive and difficult. He is still driving. His licence is due for renewal in a few months and I don't see it being renewed, but I've said to my DH that I don't think we can wait that long. My MIL won't step in and there is no point in even trying to reason with the man. Is there a way of contacting the DVLA to pass on concerns?

It's completely anonymous, my FIL had no idea it was me that dobbed him in. He got retested and lost his licence. He was furious but assumed it was the GP who'd done it on the basis of his medical records.

BiL simply took the keys and drove his father’s car away when he realised how unsafe he was.

Thanks. I know taking the keys might sound like an easier option but he is so volatile I fear for MIL safety (we are following up with social workers etc on that separately), if he couldn't find the keys and blamed her.

I have contacted the DVLA. Thanks all
