Dies anyone have any experience of this? My DM (late 70s) has been saying for a while that her vision isn't 'right'. To start with, she said that things looked blurrier and less vivid than before. More recently, she's said that whenever she's standing up, everything constantly moves up and down slightly, so she feels very unsteady. Optician detected slight prescription change, but nothing more. GP is quite concerned, and has referred her to a specialist (neurologist?).

I'm just wondering whether anyone has experienced anything similar? DM has memory and cognition problems, so it's not always easy to get a very clear description of what's going on.

did the optician do an OCT? Or notice any swelling of the optic nerve and referred to gp?
It could just be a little fluid under the macula.

I don't know, I'm afraid. Getting detailed info out of my parents about medical appts is very challenging! They were referred to the optician by the GP though, specifically because of the symptoms, and mum said they 'looked all inside her eyes', so hopefully it was a very thorough exam.
