Bleeding/sore butt

I've been having trouble with my anal area for a couple of months now. It flares, and then goes back to "bearable". I don't know what caused it at first, but I know I made it worse by scratching. I've used vaseline, bepanthen, nappy cream, and coconut oil. It's still sore and now it's bleeding a tiny bit (nothing major). What else can I try?

Get yourself to the GP. That's are loads of condensations which can cause this and depending on which, you need to treat it. Nobody here can tell you that.

There are no appointments for at least 6+ weeks or have to call in every morning and see if I can get anything, which I haven't been able to so far. Plus I'm sure they'll just add to my list of things that make me a hypochondriac. Just like my bleeding nipples, couldn't figure it out so have been waiting one year to see a dermatologist, have been told it's likely to be 2.

Have you used any piles treatments? I personally find Hemoprect works best for mine when I have a flare up.

However, since I have started using a portable bidet around 18 months ago, instead of just toilet paper, I have found that I have had many less flare ups/irritations, so maybe worth trying that?

Hope you get it sorted: it can make life very miserable

It's probably piles, although you should still see a doctor, even if you have to wait 6 weeks.
You can buy OTC treatment for piles.

It doesn't hurt to go to the toilet BTW. It's just overall sore (which is why I don't think it's piles). I cycle quite a bit, so I think it's related to that

I'd happily pay for a private appointment but there aren't any where I live.

The closest one is 30mi from me. I don't think a video call would be great, I mean I'm no pornstar and have no idea how to spread my buttcheeks so they have a good view!!

I just noticed the bleeding today, but just checked and it's not bleeding at this precise moment.

My DH checked a few days ago and he said it looked normal (not even sore!)

Usually if it's bright red blood on the toilet paper it's piles or a small tear. You could try putting a bit of Vaseline around your bottom hole before doing a stool, this would help minimise a tear. If it's dark blood in the toilet bowl/stool then it's a major worry. This is just my understanding BUT you really SHOULD visit a doctor as it could be anything.

I had this a few years back - GP prescribed a steroid cream which cleared it up really quickly. I’d tried all manner of things before that and nothing had worked. Not sure if you could get a private GP appt?

It's very light pink (barely there).

This can be a(nother) symptom of (peri) menopause - if you're coming towards that age? HRT tends to calm it down if it is.

I actually think I'm getting there .... My periods are starting to get a bit out of pattern. Last one (sorry TMI) started with clear flow for days, with only a tinge of light pink. Plus I've always been super regular and not anymore! I'm 40 this year so still a bit young

Changing/lower estrogen in peri can affect the anal area as well as the vulva, vagina and urethral tract. I became more prone to thrombosed piles.
As well as a pile cream containing products to help with itching and inflammation you could use an emollient ointment like Epaderm or Hydromol. This should helpsoothe and protectagainst scratching. With a little contorting you should be able to see if there is anything causing it - sometimes just inside the entrance.
Guessing you have also ruled out threadworms

Yes, I've ruled out worms. I also thought it could have been stress related. I'm a naturally itchy person which doesn't help
