Before anyone says it, I have tried for weeks to get a GP appointment and it's simply impossible.

I haven't felt hungry for months and am struggling to eat much. It began with vomiting months and months ago, but the feeling of not being able to eat much has never gone away. This last month I've been getting pain after eating and have been nearly sick several times. The pain makes me feel cold and clammy but passes after about half an hour. I can't eat much at all, despite the odd and rare very sudden pains of hunger, once I start I feel full after 3 or 4 mouthfuls.

I initially panicked that it was stomach cancer, but no diarrhea/blood in stool etc and I had a ultrasound scan of my stomach a few months ago, so anything like cancer would presumably have been picked up. I think it might be coeliacs or a bug that I might need meds to get rid of but just want to get something done about it now, as the pain and being unable to eat is getting me down.

Is there a reliable online company anyone has used for anything similar?

I hope you get a GP appointment by going in to the surgery.
But if you don't, can you change Dr surgery?
Being registered somewhere with no way to book an appointment is hopeless!

I've actually managed to get an appointment for today!

I thought I'd share how I did it in case others having trouble getting through. My practice merged with 3 others. What I didn't realise was the number they have on our area has a different voicemail to the one for one of the old village practices we merged with. A friend happened to text me the number they use and it was different! Called as usual and immediately cluld tell the system was back to how it was pre-merge as the message didn't just say they had a high call volume, couldn't take the call and to call 999 if an emergency. Thought I'd update in case it helps others, Google ALL numbers for the practice using all of the areas merged, as it seems they have different numbers, and some might actually work!

Thanks for all of the advice.

Little update and again big thank you to everyone who posted and convinced me to keep trying to get through to the GP.

I went - surgery was completely empty, the phone didn't ring once! Saw a lovely GP who listened and put me in for a CT of the tummy, bloods with thyroid/FSH/coeliac and the rest (at 7:20 in the morning! I didn't even know they were open then!), and said it might be a while until I hear about the scan but I should have had that done when I had my PE. Who knows.

On the way out when booking in for bloods a man came storming in saying he had been ringing for days and getting a voicemail saying to call 999. I actually said to him I had the same and that 2 of the numbers on line send you to the same recording but one of them works. Made a point of showing the receptionist which numbers I have been trying and not ever even getting a ring tone. I also did the survey and put it in there too. It must be some IT error but you'd think an empty waiting room and no calls coming in would be a clue!

Wow to the phone issue ! But for you, thank goodness you went in - a CT scan is good and bloods may provide some clues. I hope you feel better soon.
