further to this thread from two weeks ago
The pain in my eye has been on and off for the past two weeks really, more bearable than it was, but still not pain-free which was frustrating, although I had managed to reduce down from painkillers every 4 hours to only once/twice a day at worst, although had flared up more since the weekend.
Anyway today I was back at the hospital, and this time saw someone different who was much less patronising and actually spoke to me instead of speaking about me to my mum like the last one did! .
Anyway he looked in my eyes and said that it is definitely a type of glaucoma (he did give it a specific name but tbh can't remember what it was) but basically he said it has to do with the fact there's something wrong in the eye which has caused blood vescles to form on the surface and these have blocked the ducts that drain the eye (had said for past two weeks that it felt as if there was fluid in the back of my eye - now I know what it was.) He said that although there isn't actually a cure the condition can be managed, and that I will have to have lasering done to drain the fluid, but that this can't be done until the inflamation has gone down (is still inflamed).
so has upped my drops to 6 times a day, and have to go back next week.
At least I now have some sort of answer.
